Acceptable Use Policy

About this policy

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to account holders, their teams and everyone who pays through Shft Money.

Whop's rules apply too: its Prohibited Products and Services policy, its list of what is not allowed on Whop, and its Community Guidelines. Anything they don't allow is not allowed on Shft Money either, even if this page doesn't mention it. The card networks and banks behind Whop have their own rules as well.

The lists below are examples, not a complete list. If you aren't sure whether your business is allowed, ask us at support@shft.money before you start selling.

Businesses we don't support

You can't use Shft Money to sell, promote or take payment for any of the following, even where it is legal where you are.

Illegal and dangerous goods

• Anything illegal where you or your buyer are, or that breaks sanctions, anti-money laundering or anti-terrorism laws.
• Drugs, controlled substances and drug paraphernalia, including products sold as legal alternatives to them.
• Cannabis, THC and CBD products and their paraphernalia.
• Alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes, vaping and other nicotine products.
• Prescription medicines, and supplements or other health products that aren't properly regulated or make unproven claims.
• Weapons, ammunition, explosives and fireworks, and parts, modifications or instructions for making them.
• Human organs, tissue, blood and other bodily fluids.
• Protected wildlife and products made from it, and illegally obtained antiquities.

Harmful content

• Pornography and other sexually explicit content, and sexual services, including escort services.
• Any sexual content involving minors. We report it to the authorities.
• Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, violence, terrorism or self-harm, or that exploits people.
• Violent or graphic content shared to shock.

Fraud, identity and intellectual property

• Fake or altered identity documents, forged government documents, and pretending to be a government agency.
• Selling accounts on Whop, social media or other services.
• Counterfeit goods, pirated content, game cheats, and anything else that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights.
• Malware, phishing kits, stalkerware, tools for scraping data without permission, and hacking services.
• Fake followers, likes, views, reviews or other engagement.
• Essay writing or doing coursework or exams for someone else.

Money, investments and gambling

• Money transmission, currency exchange, remittances, cheque cashing, and stored value or prepaid products.
• Lending, loan brokering, debt collection, credit repair and debt relief.
• Investment products, securities, crowdfunding, escrow, asset management and proprietary trading firms, and any other financial service you are not licensed to provide.
• Selling cryptocurrencies, tokens or NFTs. Educational content about them may be allowed where Whop allows it.
• Pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing and other schemes that pay mainly for recruiting people.
• Gambling, betting, lotteries, raffles, and games of skill or chance played for money.
• Timeshares, and reselling airline tickets, cruises or event tickets bought with bots or resold unlawfully.

Regulated and sensitive services

• Legal advice and legal representation.
• Therapy, counselling, IV treatments and other healthcare services.
• Private investigation and repossession.
• Political, religious and unregistered charitable organisations.
• Telemarketing and door-to-door sales.

Whop allows some products only with its prior approval. You may sell a product like that on Shft Money only after Whop has approved it for your account.

Honest selling

• Say what buyers get. Describe the product, its price, how it is delivered and how long access lasts. Don't offer “lifetime”, “perpetual” or unlimited access.
• Earnings and results claims must be true, backed by evidence and not misleading. Say what typical results are and what it costs to get them.
• No hidden terms. No hidden subscriptions, and no “free” offers that aren't free.
• Reviews and testimonials must be genuine. Disclose any payment or connection behind them.
• Be yourself. Don't pretend to be another person, business or brand, and present yourself, not Whop, as the seller.

Uses we don't allow

• Taking money for someone else. Your account is for your own business. Don't let other people sell through it or receive their money through it. Each business needs its own account.
• Personal payments. Business payments (when available) are only for paying another business for real goods or services, with a true purpose and reference. Don't use them for person-to-person payments, gifts or remittances, or to send money to individuals, family or friends.
• Fake transactions. Don't buy from your own page, create sales with no real product or service behind them, or use a card payment to get cash.
• Payment details that aren't yours. Only pay with cards and accounts you are allowed to use.
• Financial crime. No money laundering, terrorist financing or avoiding sanctions, and no splitting payments to stay under limits or checks.
• Billing tricks. Don't split transactions, make small charges to lower your dispute rate, or keep retrying declined cards.
• False information. Don't give false details during verification, or open accounts to get around a limit, suspension or closure.
• Not delivering. Deliver what you sell. A high rate of refunds or disputes can lead to holds or limits on your account.
• Spam. Don't send payment links or messages to people who didn't ask for them.
• Harassment and privacy. Don't harass or threaten anyone, share someone's personal information without permission, or collect personal data you have no right to.
• Attacking the service. Don't scrape, probe, overload or attack Shft Money, or try to access data or accounts that aren't yours.
• Sharing logins. Invite teammates with their own logins instead.

Tips and messages

Tips are for supporting the work someone shares. Don't use tips to pay for anything this policy doesn't allow.

Messages sent with tips can appear on a live stream and on public pages. They must not contain harassment, hate, threats, sexual content, someone else's personal information, or spam. Businesses can turn messages off for their stream.

If the rules are broken

If a problem can be fixed, such as a listing that needs a clearer access period, we will usually ask you to fix it first. For serious or repeated problems, we may act straight away. Depending on what happened, we may:

• remove content;
• ask you for more information;
• pause payments, links or other features;
• ask Whop to restrict your Whop account;
• close your Shft Money account, and any other accounts linked to you; and
• report what happened to Whop, the card networks or the authorities.

Whop can also act under its own terms, including holding, withholding or reversing funds and closing your Whop account. We will tell you why we acted when we are allowed to. If you think we got it wrong, email support@shft.money within 30 days and we will review our decision. Decisions Whop makes are appealed to Whop.

We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright or other intellectual property, in appropriate circumstances.

If you see a business, page or message that breaks these rules, email support@shft.money with the link and what you saw. If you were charged for something you didn't buy, contact your card issuer as well.
