How your money is held
Shft Money is software. Your money is held by Whop and its financial partners, in a Whop account that is in your name.
Who does what
- Shft Money (AINA Technologies LLC)
- The app you use: your page, payment links and checkout, tips and stream alerts, your team, our fees and support. We don't hold your money.
- Whop
- Processes payments, holds your balance, verifies your identity, and carries out withdrawals, conversions and, when available, business payments.
- Whop's financial partners
- The banks and other regulated companies Whop works with to hold funds, send payouts and issue cards. Whop's terms name them.
Your account is in your name
When you set up payments, we create a Whop account for your business with your email address as its owner. You then verify your identity with Whop, in Whop's secure frame on our pages.
The Money page shows “Owned by you” when the owner email on the Whop account matches your login. If they stop matching, you can make yourself the owner again from the Money page.
Because the account is yours, closing your Shft Money account doesn't close it. Your Whop account and its balance stay with Whop, in your name, and Whop's terms decide how you can use them.
How a payment reaches you
- Your client or viewer pays on Whop's checkout.
- At the same moment, Whop takes its processing fee and our fee. The rest goes to your Whop balance.
- The money shows as pending, then becomes available when Whop releases it.
- You withdraw it to your own bank or another payout method in your name.
The fees recorded for each payment appear on that payment in your dashboard. Current prices are on our pricing page.
Where your balance comes from
The balance in the app is read from Whop's records for your account. We also keep our own record of payments and fees, so we can show your history. Every hour we check our record against Whop's, and we look into anything that doesn't match. Our records never decide how much you can withdraw. Whop's do.
Who can move your money
- Only the owner. Admins and accountants on your team can see balances and reports. Members can see payments you receive, but not your balance. Nobody but the owner can withdraw, convert or send money.
- Withdrawals go only to you, to payout methods in your name. The methods available in your country, with each fee and arrival time, are shown before you confirm.
- Business payments (when available) go only to businesses: to another business on Whop, for real goods or services, with a purpose and the invoice or reference it pays. Not to individuals, and not as remittances.
- Whop may require the owner to turn on two-factor authentication with Whop before withdrawing or sending payments.
Our access, and how we protect it
Because your Whop account is connected to our platform, Whop gives us technical access to it. We need that access to show your balance and activity and to carry out what you ask. Whop doesn't offer platforms a read-only option, so the same access could also be used to move money from a connected account. Here is how we limit it:
- Our software starts a withdrawal, conversion or business payment only when the owner asks for it in the app.
- The key our servers use with Whop stays on our servers, is never sent to your browser, has an expiry date, and has only the permissions we chose for the app rather than full access.
- The access your browser gets for the wallet covers only your own account, expires within an hour, and can't send business payments.
- Our login to Whop's platform dashboard uses two-factor authentication and is used only by the owner of AINA Technologies LLC.
- Our support tools let staff look into problems, but they can't move money.
What we can and can't see
We can see your balance, payments, fees, refunds and disputes, withdrawals and business payments, whether you are verified, and the last four digits of your card.
We never see your identity documents or selfies, your full card number or security code, or your bank account numbers. Those go straight to Whop in its secure frames. Your card number is shown only to you, inside Whop's card frame.
What protects your balance, and what doesn't
- Your balance is not a deposit with Shft Money. Whop's Terms of Service explain which partner banks hold balances. They also say US balances are not covered by FDIC deposit insurance. Don't assume your balance is insured.
- Check your activity and report anything wrong quickly. Whop's terms give only a short time to report errors.
- Whop may keep part or all of a balance as a reserve, or delay funds, to cover refunds and disputes. Its Seller Terms set the rules.
- Crypto and gold you convert to are provided through Whop and its partners under Whop's Wallet Terms. They are not deposits, are not insured, and can lose value.
- The card is issued by Whop's card-issuing bank partner under Whop's card terms, not by us.
If something goes wrong
- A payment is missing or looks wrong: email support@shft.money with the payment's reference. We will check our record against Whop's.
- You think someone else has used your login: change your password and email support@shft.money straight away.
- A buyer disputes a payment: Whop handles disputes on your account, and we show you the status.
The full rules are in our Terms of Service, and how we handle personal data is in our Privacy Policy.
